Be Heard

Each week, Scene gives Mavericks the chance to be heard by voicing their thoughts, feelings and opinions.

Ashley Andrews
Business junior

What kind of driver are you?

A fuel-efficient one.

What do you think about Harry Potter?

I love Harry Potter! I was at the midnight party of it. I’m such a nerd about that.

What do you like least about the opposite sex?

That’s a tricky one. There’s the lying that gets to me. Sometimes the “needing to prove something” gets to me as well.

What do you think is the most frequent type of accident?

I saw a lot of rear ends the other day. But my second choice is drunk driving.

Do you wish on shooting stars?

No, not really.

What do you do when you’re really bored?

Usually I just listen to music. I have a massive music addiction.

Who is the smartest person you know?

Hands down, my dad. He is a walking dictionary and encyclopedia. He just knows everything.

What would make a wedding more entertaining?

Circus clowns and maybe a monkey.

Jose Casco
Electrical Engineering sophomore

What kind of driver are you?

Well, I got my license but I’ve yet to get a car, so I’m not sure.

What do you think about Harry Potter?

Well it’s a nice fantasy story, but it’s not a big deal, really. I read one of the books. The movies are fun, but not an epic movie.

What do you like least about the opposite sex?

They get mad really easy with you. You know they do it on purpose.

What do you think is the most frequent type of accident?

Falling down stairs. I did it a little in my house, even in high school.

Do you wish on shooting stars?

Not really, but if I see one, I always point it out to other people.

What do you do when you’re really bored?

Get to the Internet and check out YouTube.

Who is the smartest person you know?

A college professor I had in Honduras.

What would make a wedding more entertaining?

If they celebrated it with things from where they live, like music from your home place and other things that represent your nationality.
