Be Heard

Each week, Scene gives Mavericks the chance to be heard by voicing their thoughts, feelings and opinions.

This week

Wilson Rodriguez,
Architecture junior

What would make for the best date?

A little bit of romance. Maybe an intimate candlelight dinner and a movie. Something where you can sit down and enjoy the other person.

What country would you like to visit?

China. It has such an ancient history.

How do you feel about tattoos?

I like them. Personally, I would not get one because I’m too wishy-washy and I wouldn’t want to wake up a year from now and regret it.

How important is appearance, really?

People say it’s not important, but people judge you every day. It’s important as long as you can express yourself through it.

What’s the craziest dream you’ve ever had?

I was flying over Disney World and then suddenly appeared in Italy.

What are your first thoughts in the morning?

Five more minutes, just five more minutes.

Louvhencye Dorsainvil,
Undeclared sophomore

What would make for the best date?

I think movies are too unoriginal. Something like mini-golf or go-cart riding would be really fun. Something that would allow you to get to know the other person.

What country would you like to visit?

Romania. My friend told me about it, and I looked it up. It has its ups and downs.

How do you feel about tattoos?

I don’t want one. (If I did) I might get a butterfly or a flower — something simple.

How important is appearance, really?

Very important. Appearance is what people stick to until they get to know you.

What’s the craziest dream you’ve ever had?

I was president of the United States. It was weird. I had all these pressures on me.

What are your first thoughts in the morning?

Thank God. I made it to another morning.
