Campus Briefs
Campus groups making plans for next year’s Homecoming
Homecoming isn’t until February, but some campus groups
are already sketching out ideas.
Suggestions for a parade have come from various university organizations,
said Seth Ressl, Student Activities associate director. Student Affairs
won’t have a meeting to discuss Homecoming until fall.
If there is an event similar to a parade, it will be small-scale, Ressl
said. There won’t be large floats like the ones in the city’s
Fourth of July and Christmas parades. He suggested decorated golf carts
or other similar vehicles.
Ressl stressed that at the moment they are just brainstorming. Student
Affairs is considering a number of events that will continue the momentum
of last year’s Homecoming response.
Ressl said February weather will also be a consideration in outdoor plans.
