Be Heard
Each week, Scene gives Mavericks the chance to be heard by voicing their
thoughts, feelings and opinions.
This week
 Brittany Palumbo,
Kinesiology sophomore
What moment in your life would you like to relive?
Probably my first day in Texas. I got asked out on a date. It was exciting.
What’s the best thing to do on a rainy day?
Just sit in the rain.
Out of all the U.S. presidents, who helped the country the most?
Ronald Reagan. That’s what I learned in history class, plus Bush
sucks.
What’s the worst song to get stuck in your head?
Any Backstreet Boys song.
Who makes the best commercials?
The Bubble Yum duck commercials, definitely.
What inspires you?
Lifetime TV movies. There are some really good examples of how not
to live your life.
What was your dream job as a child?
To be a dancer. Seven ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) surgeries later,
and I can no longer be a dancer.
What movie would you like your life to be like?
Step Up, because of the dancing.

Nitin Uppal,
Mechanical Engineering graduate student
What moment in your life would you like to relive?
My undergraduate days. It was fun. Not much work and a
lot of fun. What’s the best thing to
do on a rainy day?
Sit back and relax at home. Out of
all the presidents, who helped the country the most?
President George W. Bush. That guy is funny.
What’s the worst song to get stuck in your head?
Anything that gets stuck in your head is the worst kind.
Who makes the best commercials?
I’ll go with the CareerBuilder.com commercials. They
are good. What inspires you?
Guys who have really done something great with technology.
Entrepreneurs. What was your dream job as a
child?
I wanted to be a doctor in medicine. I guess now I’m
more into machines. What movie would you like
your life to be like?
A Beautiful Mind. |
