Thursday’s story “Ralliers focus on peace coalition” should have said the rally took place Wednesday.

In Thursday’s calendar, Friday’s entry for “Last Class Blast” should have stated that the cost is $3 or $2 with membership or canned good.

Because of incorrect information given to The Shorthorn, Wednesday’s story “Two students start trading site” should have stated that the Web site will not accept returns.

In the map that went with Tuesday’s story “Ms. UTA injured in fatal wreck on I-30,” Irving, Grand Prairie and Linh Nguyen’s name was misspelled.

Tuesday’s photo caption “Examining plant sales,” should have stated that the plant sale was to raise money for Phi Sigma biology honor society.

In Wednesday’s story, “President to evaluate maps,” Student Congress Senator Dean Aubin’s full name was not printed. He is the congress’ community affairs chair.

In the headline for Tuesday’s story “ ‘Building Bridges,’ ” Michele Bobadilla’s name was misspelled.

NOV. 20

Wednesday’s story “Council accepts transit proposal” should have stated that the council is scheduled today to take a formal vote on calling a February election on transit. Council members must finalize the vote by Nov. 27 to have an election on the transit plan in February.

Friday’s story “Yearbook initiation research continues” should have stated that if funding comes from the Student Services Fee, no legislative approval will be needed. Legislative approval would be needed only to enact a designated fee that could be used only for the yearbook and nothing else.

In Thursday’s story “Novelist’s third book debuts,” Eduardo Paz-Martinez said some of the comments in the story were incorrect. “I do not see women as ‘animals,’ ” he said. “For me to allow such a wild and false characterization is absurd.”

In Friday's issue, the campus brief "Muslim organization to hold informative meeting about Islam" inadvertently ran in the paper because of a production error.

In Wednesday's story "Library fee incease proposed," the increase would make the fee $7.50 per semester credit hour. Ut-Dallas students pay $10 per semester credit hour and UT-Austin students pay $9.45 per semester credit hour.

In Thursday’s story, “Social work professor dies from cancer,” Coleen Shannon was an associate professor.

Wednesday’s story “Lady Mavs win in 5” and the “Down the Line” should have stated that the volleyball team recorded 16 service aces Tuesday night.

Tuesday’s story “Perry accepts tuition increase” should have stated that with both fees combined, in-state students taking a 12-hour course load will face an extra $48 in tuition and designated tuition each semester.

Because of incorrect information provided to The Shorthorn, Tuesday’s campus brief “ ‘Music Under the Stars’ outdoor concert to feature pianist tonight” should have stated that the second of the three concerts will feature the UTA Jazz Orchestra.

• Thursday's story "fish brains under study" should have stated the catfish awaiting their turn to serve science were in the Life Sciences Building basement.

 In Thursday’s story “Group on a Mission,” Christián Zloloniski’s name was misspelled. Also from that story, Sergio Espinosa will join the Music Department as a visiting assistant professor.

 The Office for Students with Disabilities requested $9,490 in “wish list” funding from the Student Service Fee Advisory Committee, not the figure shown in a graphic that accompanied the May 29 story “SSFAC gives $252,168 for addendum request.”

JUNE 05
 In Thursday’s story “Flagship funding measure ends,” university President Robert Witt said, “It will enable us to make a meaningful, significant start at improving our recreational sports facilities.” The extracted quote refers to funding from a bill increasing the recreational sports fee, not to the flagship funding bill.

May 29
 The May 1 story “Growth spurs honor society” should have stated that the number of Philosophy and Humanities Department majors has increased from about 20 to 30 in the past two years.
