Authors to talk about their work,
give advice on writing
The UTA Writing Center is sponsoring a poetry reading at 3 p.m.
today in the Rady Room on the sixth floor of Nedderman Hall.
Bill Allegrezza, author of The Vicious Bunny Translations and editor
of http://www.moriapoetry.com;
and Ray Bianchi, author of Circular Descent and editor of http://chicagopostmodernpoetry.com
will speak about their work and answer questions.
According to Chris Murray, English professor and the center’s
director, the center has hosted poetry readings each semester since
spring 2004 and has brought 15 contemporary authors to the university.
“I like them to see people who are writing right now,”
she said.
The two authors will also meet for an informal discussion in the
center at 3 p.m. Friday to speak with students and answer specific
questions, Dr. Murray said.
For information, e-mail Murray at cmurray@uta.edu.
